Review of Becoming the Dark Prince

I gave this book 5/5 stars!

Throughout the series, I have always wondered what was going through Thomas' head. I especially wondered this when reading Escaping from Houdini. And let me tell you, I was not disappointed. I absolutely loved reading his point of view. It takes place a little during and after Escaping from Houdini, so it was perfect for me to get a feeling of his side of things during romantic complications. It also allowed me to understand how he will be thinking and his mindset for later on in their journey.

So many of my questions that I had for Thomas were answered, including how deep his love for Audrey truly goes. I wanted to know how he turned off his emotions so well as well. These questions were answered and I couldn't be happier with them.

I think this may be the best novella I have read. It was interesting and I didn't feel like I needed to read this book. I never felt like I was powering through it and trying to stay interested. I was captivated and it held my attention very well. It wasn't overloaded with information, either, which I enjoyed.

This book made me like Thomas' character even more. After reading this, I noticed how much of his emotions are kept and can't be read by Audrey. There is definitely more power, and it does him justice.

This review is also on Goodreads, Bookbub, and Amazon!

Synopsis:
In this irresistibly-priced short story, catch a glimpse of the inner struggles and triumphs that drive Stalking Jack the Ripper's endearing but troubled hero.

Enigmatic, brooding, and darkly handsome, Thomas Cresswell has always been the one mystery Audrey Rose has never been able to fully solve. As brilliant partners in crime investigation, they understand each other perfectly...but as young lovers, their passionate natures have led to both euphoria and heartbreak throughout the Stalking Jack the Ripper series.

This novella features a collection of scenes that takes place during and after the pair's horrifying Atlantic voyage in Escaping From Houdini. Experience new and familiar scenes from Thomas's unique point of view, including an intensely personal look into his plea for Audrey Rose's hand in marriage.

With a romance for the ages, Audrey Rose and Thomas reach the conclusion to their epic, irresistible partnership in their final adventure, Capturing the Devil.

Review of The Queen of Nothing (SPOILER FREE)

This review is the SPOILER FREE version. I am giving this book 5/5 stars! GUYS I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S OVER! I DON'T WANT IT TO END! I really enjoyed reading this book, and I wish there were more books to come. I definitely think that there could be more if Holly Black wanted to make it happen. I live for Jude and Cardan's relationship, and their own personalities. I love these two so much. They are so skillfully crafted and have many layers to their personalities. There is more than just the sad, drunk boy, more than just the strong, power hungry girl. Their relationship grows (in a good or a bad way, you will find out) in this book and it tore me up! Many questions that had been unanswered in the second book are answered in this book. I feel like there are questions I still have that this book brought up, but it's nothing big that will eat at me for all eternity... I like the first half, but I really like the second half of the book. So much happene...

Review of Heir of Fire

I am giving this book 4.5/5 stars! In this book, we meet multiple new people, more answers are given, and more questions are left unanswered. I think this is the book where things really start to go down and get interesting. It's a turning point, not just for the characters, but for the story as a whole. Even the feel of the book is different. As I was reading, I felt like Chaol and Dorian's point of view was providing a slice of the past books, Manon's point of view was providing a slice of the future and where the series is heading, and Celaena's point of view was providing the transition from past to future. I really like Manon, more than I had anticipated. She brings something good to the table and the story and I can't wait to see how she continues to develop as a character. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she plays a bigger role in Celaena's story later on! I teared up a few times because OOOHHH MYYYY GOODNESS I am speechless with how the s...

Review of Rise of the Phoenix

I am giving this book 4/5 stars! I received a copy of the book from the author. Thank you again Isajanyan for the copy and writing a great book!!  If you like books with the chosen one, born solely for this event type of books, this is the book for you! This book was creative from the beginning with the brilliant writing style. In some movies, there is a prophecy or story from the past that they will describe and talk about. This book was written like someone was telling the prophecy, and I found that creative because this whole book starts with just that.  There was a lot of information in the beginning, it was a bit overwhelming and may have contributed to me having a hard time getting into it at first. That also may have contributed to me feeling as though some things were being repeated. While that may be the case, as I continued reading it got better. I was starting to get attached to the characters and story. So I highly recommend sticking around and reading it...
