Review of Rise of the Phoenix

I am giving this book 4/5 stars! I received a copy of the book from the author. Thank you again Isajanyan for the copy and writing a great book!!

If you like books with the chosen one, born solely for this event type of books, this is the book for you!

This book was creative from the beginning with the brilliant writing style. In some movies, there is a prophecy or story from the past that they will describe and talk about. This book was written like someone was telling the prophecy, and I found that creative because this whole book starts with just that.

There was a lot of information in the beginning, it was a bit overwhelming and may have contributed to me having a hard time getting into it at first. That also may have contributed to me feeling as though some things were being repeated. While that may be the case, as I continued reading it got better. I was starting to get attached to the characters and story. So I highly recommend sticking around and reading it until the end.

If you like descriptions, this is the book for you! I felt like there were a lot of descriptions compared to the other books coming out nowadays. The descriptions helped me visualize the world better and feel more immersed.

Although I don't want to say "magic" when describing the priestesses carrying out the gods' will, I will be using it. I enjoyed the way it was used to bring out the story, though I do wish we got a little more. There is nothing I love more than magic!!

There were a few plot twists that I didn't see coming, and there is NOTHING I love more than a good plot twist. Along with that, there was romance and plenty of action. So this book had many things that were right up my alley, and I can't wait to see what happens next in this series.

This review is also on Goodreads, Bookbub, and Amazon!

Synopsis:
"We are all pawns in the games the gods play"

A forsaken prince. A golden era. An infernal fate.

The first in a series of works based on an ancient, bronze-age Armenia.

When a prophecy brings a priestess to his humble home, Arme must abandon his tranquil existence to become the nation’s only hope, a celestial warrior tasked with protecting an unborn child carrying an even heavier burden than he.

Whispers of invaders threaten the safety of all, testing the bonds of love and the limits of honor, bringing forth the long-forgotten might of the heavens back into the world of mortals. As the flames incinerate all in their path, divided nations and broken families must band together to save the innocent and rise from the ashes of war.

Review of The Queen of Nothing (SPOILER FREE)

This review is the SPOILER FREE version. I am giving this book 5/5 stars! GUYS I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S OVER! I DON'T WANT IT TO END! I really enjoyed reading this book, and I wish there were more books to come. I definitely think that there could be more if Holly Black wanted to make it happen. I live for Jude and Cardan's relationship, and their own personalities. I love these two so much. They are so skillfully crafted and have many layers to their personalities. There is more than just the sad, drunk boy, more than just the strong, power hungry girl. Their relationship grows (in a good or a bad way, you will find out) in this book and it tore me up! Many questions that had been unanswered in the second book are answered in this book. I feel like there are questions I still have that this book brought up, but it's nothing big that will eat at me for all eternity... I like the first half, but I really like the second half of the book. So much happene...

Review of Heir of Fire

I am giving this book 4.5/5 stars! In this book, we meet multiple new people, more answers are given, and more questions are left unanswered. I think this is the book where things really start to go down and get interesting. It's a turning point, not just for the characters, but for the story as a whole. Even the feel of the book is different. As I was reading, I felt like Chaol and Dorian's point of view was providing a slice of the past books, Manon's point of view was providing a slice of the future and where the series is heading, and Celaena's point of view was providing the transition from past to future. I really like Manon, more than I had anticipated. She brings something good to the table and the story and I can't wait to see how she continues to develop as a character. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she plays a bigger role in Celaena's story later on! I teared up a few times because OOOHHH MYYYY GOODNESS I am speechless with how the s...
