Review of A Court of Frost and Starlight




I gave this book 5/5 stars!

 I found this novella to be very calm and peaceful, a nice bridge between the chaos of ACOWAR and the next books to come. It sets up the story for them well. I enjoyed being able to see what the inner circle and the rest of the characters have been up to and how their lives are coming together. This book answers many of the questions that I know I was asking that were left unanswered in the last book(s), such as

 how Velaris and other courts are recovering from the war, how other courts are handling the new situation with the humans, and how each of the characters that we have encountered are mentally, emotionally, and physically.
- SPOILERS OVER -

 This novella is cute and while the last ending of the book for all three was satisfying, this ending for them is equally enjoyable. I can't wait to see what Maas has in store for the next books!

Review of Rebel

I am giving this book 3.5/5 stars. This book was more interesting than Prodigy , but not as interesting as Legend . Maybe more like Champion , in my honest opinion. I wasn't really interested in the beginning. It went slow and didn't feel like it was starting until around half way through the book. The beginning gives a lot of information on Antarctica's technology (which I was glad to learn more about) and I loved seeing how Day and Eden work through their past traumas and relationship struggles. I liked seeing how the Republic is handling things after war and what happens to Day and June after the events at the end of Champion . It goes over different types of relationship tensions and how their lives have changed and are going. I think it could have been shortened at least a little bit though. - SMALL SPOILER IN NEXT PARAGRAPH - We don't see Eden's bullies after the Level system is shut down. Review of Ascenders

                                                                      Amazon           I received this book from the author for an honest review. I gave it 3.5 stars! I did like this book, but it wasn't completely for me. There were spectacular descriptions on the appearance of different things. I could clearly picture what the author wanted me to see, and it wasn't so much so that I couldn't use my own imagination. I also liked that the author did not streamline the entire book, so it felt like there was more to the story.
